AGAINST all odds, an Asian kid has been able to avoid being bashed for his lunch money in one of Brisbanes most white-dominated high schools.
Jimmy Wang Dong, 16, was born an albino and has spent most of his school life consistently attending PE classes with fellow students, getting laid in the school toilets and achieving a grade of C+ in mathematics.
When Jimmy was born, his Asian parents mistook him for a white boy and therefore opted to raise him as one.
I was angry with my wife and beat her hard many times because she sleep with white man, Mr Dong said.
With only a total of three Asians at the school including Jimmy, the other two have been targets of practical jokes from fellow students and teachers alike.
It has been suggested that even the janitor has picked on the Asian teens and was seen laughing at them while they cried like little girls.
I would never have guessed he (Jimmy) was Asian; his maths [sic] was never good and he didnt know kung fu, the school principal said.
Despite his deceiving outward appearance, Jimmys Australian girlfriend Annabelle has voiced her suspicions about his racial background, but only when his pants are off.

PATHEIN, Myanmar (UCAN)Sister Mary Ann Zayphiyar still shudders when she remembers the day she turned a baby away.
The retired Sisters of St. Francis Xavier nun, now 70, clearly recalls what happened two decades ago at St. Francis Convent.

"A trishaw (pedicab taxi) driver brought a four-month-old child to be put up for adoption," the nun told UCA News in early December at St. Mary's Orphanage, near St. Peter's Cathedral in Pathein city, 160 kilometers southwest of Yangon.
The driver explained that the mother had become insane and thrown her baby away, so he rescued the child and brought the little one to the nun.
At that moment, Sister Zayphiya said, she could not decide whether or not to accept the baby since she had to discuss it with her superior, so she told the man to wait for a day. The next day, Sister Zayphiyar was shocked to learn that the man had drowned the infant in the river.
"When my superior saw my condition, she consoled me and told me to accept abandoned babies," the nun said. Since then, the nuns have been accepting orphans and girls who cannot be supported by their parents.
That sparked the start of St. Mary's Orphanage, a two-story wooden structure that she and her superior opened in 1989 in a building donated by a Catholic family. Three nuns now running it are caring for 80 girls.
The congregation also looks after girls in their St. Francis Xavier's Boarding School and St. Theresa's Orphanage in Pathein city.
At 36 centers in Pathein diocese, the nuns now work with the Little Brothers of St. Francis Xavier to look after more than 1,300 boys and girls, including survivors of Cyclone Nargis this past May.
Sister Kevin Theresa Laycho, 60, in charge of St. Mary's Orphanage, told UCA News their doors are open to children of any religion but funds are in short supply, as so often happens with local Church ventures.
Father Cyril Win Maung, Pathein diocese's procurator, told UCA News, "The Church gives 20,000 kyat (US$17) per month for St. Mary's Orphanage to provide food for the children."
Other donations come from Mother Margaret Mary, the nun's superior general, and from local donors. The nuns also run a small snack shop, do gardening, raise poultry, provide tailoring and run a nursery school.
Sister Kevin Laycho said the nuns encourage bright children to continue to graduation and arrange vocational sewing or nursing for the less academically inclined. They stress reading and writing for all, and arrange work in the garden or kitchens for those who have difficulty.
Sister Augustine Nant Hilar, 50, admitted to UCA News, "As I go around villages where Catholics and people of other religions live, I feel very shy using megaphones to request donations and food for the orphans."
At least three times a year, the nuns use this method to collect rice, chilies, onions, fish paste and vegetables, and Sister Hilar said she reminds herself each time she is doing this for "the children of God."
According to Church records, Paris Foreign Missions Bishop Alexandre Cardot of Rangoon (Yangon) founded the Sisters of St. Francis Xavier in 1897, and Pope Paul VI granted diocesan status to the local congregation in 1964. It now has about 377 nuns at 89 convents in 10 dioceses. They teach catechism, and help the Church and the bishops in various ways.
Mary Naw Aye Aye, a 20-year-old blind woman, told UCA News, "My mother died when I was two and my father sent me away after marrying another woman." The nuns sent her to a school for the blind, but she asked to go back to the orphanage. "I am very happy here because the nuns are my parents and they have been looking after me," she said. She now helps out at the orphanage by cooking, feeding pigs, gardening and washing.
Ah Than Lay, a 13-year-old girl, told UCA News that she and her sister lost their parents when they were young. "The life of an orphan like me is miserable," she said, "but with the help the nuns we are happy to be with them to help fellow orphans."
Sister Zayphiya said the nuns try to help the orphans until the young people can stand on their own feet and no longer need Church support.

On be half of the Asian Chess Federation, the Championship was conducted by Chess Federation of Sri Lanka in 2 separate sections as Girls and Boys in 5 age groups, under 7, 9, 11, 13 and 15 years totaling 10 Asian school events. The closing ceremony was held in grand level at the Grand oriental Hotel under the patronage of Hon. Dr. Rajitha Senaratne, The Minister of Construction and Engineering Services and Pr. Yenush was the only Sri Lankan who scored total 7 points out of seven games in under 9 years girls while Nayanathara scored 5 ½ out of 7 games in the under 7 girls event. Other four events were won by Indian players, under 13 Girls by Anjana S Krishna with 8 points out of 9, Under 11 Girls by Sunya Sakta Satapathy with 7 points out of 7, Under 9 Boys by Y Grahesh with 8 points out of 9 Under 7 Boys by Pranav Reddy scoring full 9 points out of 9 games.
The 5th Asian School Chess Championship 2009 and Asian Junior Chess Championship 2009 are also to be held in Sri Lanka next year.
