However, this is not yet the final sprite because they are still working on the improvements for more attractive appearances. Sprite Design
If you guys read the Ragnarok manga, youll notice that the concept sprite of the Rune Knight looks a whole lot like Chaos. The gems set in the bone-like metallic silver armor is a dead ringer for Chaos outfit. Im not totally sure about the picture though but it also looks like the Rune Knight is wearing a trench coat of sorts or maybe a modified cloak? Regardless what hes wearing, he definitely looks much more kick ass and modern compared to the Lord Knight and Knight sprites. The developers are really drawing inspiration from the manga, seeing as Guillotine Cross looks like Loki.
Rune Knight Job Class Overview
Knights and Lord Knights had attack skills but they were primarily built to become tanks in the battlefields. They didnt really have the killing capability Champions and Assassins had but they could last a long fight. Rune Knights, on the other hand, are really more like walking weapons of destruction (LOL). Their skills are more offensive in nature and they will rely less on defensive armors like the current Lord Knight and Knight job classes.
To power their skills, they will be using a new source of energy called . This reminds me a lot of the Death Knight Hero Class which is being hyped up in World of Warcraft.
Rune Knight Skill Names
Skill concept names were recently released in the jRO website. There are no descriptions yet on what these skills actually do but you can guess a lot based on the names alone. I personally like Crush Strike, Deathbound, and Dragon Howling. I dunno what they do exactly but Im sure theyre powerful, lol.

Remember this for level 7 and up mercenary have an additional reliability specific requirements. To summon level 10 mercenary your character must be level 99 the only requirement to have more reliability points. The reliability points of mercenary only base on it's performance in battle. It simply means just base on points he killed. The more monster he killed the more points for mercenary. For every 50 monster killed his reliability level will increase but it will increase only if mercenary killed more than half of character base level. If your mercenary dies in the battle the points will be reset but if the summoner die you will lose one reliability point.

If you read this blog, you probably are familiar with Ragnarok Online. And if you managed to come across my post concerning the first scans of Ragnarok Online DS, you may also be saving up to buy the handheld just in time for the game's Japanese release.

Famitsu's online site just released a fresh new batch of Ragnarok Online DS screenshots, and suffice it to say that the game looks good, so far. But I think I'm only biased towards the franchise; if I didn't know RO beforehand much less waste years of my life in the game in the past I probably would have chalked this game as one of them Japanese RPG titles (barring that fact that it's based on a Korean MMO) with the usual pixelly sprites.

But enough talk, check out the screenshots and marvel how GungHo took care to preserve the well-loved original Ragnarok Online user interface.
